How Businesses Can Help To Make Staffordshire Sustainable

Whether you are a small business serving your local community, or a global company based in Staffordshire, we can all do our bit to help make Staffordshire sustainable.

We have some handy businesses tools that can help you to measure your impact on the environment as well as top tips and resources that you can use to reduce your carbon footprint.

  1. Become a FREE member of Staffordshire’s Business and Environment Network.
    As a member you will get access to tonnes of practical advice and guidance to make your business more sustainable, as well as regular free talks, webinars and conferences to share ideas and connect you to the wider community.  - Click here to become a member.
  1. Get your FREE Business Energy Efficiency Review (and apply for up to £20,000 funding to make sustainable changes)
    Find out how energy efficient your business is using the and what changes you need to make to be more environmentally friendly. You can apply for up to £20,000 to help your business reach its sustainability goals. - Click here to use the Environmental Sustainability GrowthMapper tool.

  2. Pledge to cut your carbon emissions to net zero by 2050 or sooner.
    If you are a small and medium-sized businesses (250 employees or less) you can show your commitment to sustainability by making a pledge. You will then get access to a database of practical tools and resources to develop a climate strategy, curb emissions and build business resilience. Make the pledge.

Join your local Business Travel Network

If you are a business located in Cannock, Leek or Burton, you could join your local Business Travel Network.

The Busines Travel Network is an opportunity to join a platform of locally represented organisations to support and co-ordinate travel planning activity. The Business Travel Networks have been set up to improve air quality, reduce pollution and to promote active travel.
