People without symptoms

People can book a PCR test via the national portal at:

  • Spinning School Lane national testing site 
  • Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital car park (please do not go into the hospital for a test). 
  • Riverdrive Car Park

Please choose the option “my local council has asked me to get a test.” If demand is high, please keep checking back on the website and more appointments will be added.

Supervised rapid tests and home testing kits are available at participating pharmacies, community libraries and mobile pop-up locations. More information can be found on our testing for people without symptoms webpage

People with symptoms of Covid-19 should book via the national portal


All adults are now eligible to book their coronavirus vaccine. If you are 18 or over, please book an appointment via the NHS national booking system or by calling 119. 

Walk-in clinics are available at:

  • SpringPharm, Unit 13, Mercian Park, Felspar Road (B77 4DP)
    Monday 23 to Friday 27 August
    Sunday 29 August
    Tuesday 31 August

Please check timings and what doses are available before attending a walk-in clinic.
