Hidden heroes

Thank you to our hidden heroes

Hidden Heroes is our way of shining a light and celebrating the teams across the county council and our partners who are doing incredible and essential things in the battle against Covid-19, but perhaps go under the radar.

Hundreds of care staff are continuing to help people in their homes with daily tasks to keep them safe and well, and out of hospital. Social workers are continuing to support vulnerable people and families during these very stressful times.

Council staff have been retrained and redeployed to the front line to help those most in need, whilst others work overtime in their essential jobs to keep the county going; fixing roads for key workers to travel, for example. Waste operatives are still collecting waste and the voluntary sector are doubling their efforts to make a difference to people’s mental health, keep them safe and reach out to the most vulnerable.

Thousands of Staffordshire people are hidden heroes in the battle against Covid-19 - thank you to each and everyone of you.

If you know a hidden hero, please tell us at the bottom of this page.
