Next Steps

The draft strategy feedback was reviewed and shared in advance of the council's cabinet meeting on 21 June 2018. This informed the decision taken at that meeting.

Now the strategy has been approved, the principles within it will guide our approach to the provision of support and services to people with disabilities in the future.

We will review current ways of working and the services and support we provide to ensure they are aligned with these principles.

We will work with people with disabilities and their families to ensure that any changes we propose are clear and that we have sought their views to shape these changes.
