Overview

What is a prepaid card?

Your new prepaid card will be loaded with your direct payments for your care services. You can use it to purchase the goods and services to meet your assessed social care needs as set out in your care plan or support plan.

Why do I need one?

Many people struggle with sending us copies of bank statements.

With the new prepaid card, you will no longer need to send us this information. We will be able to check your direct payments online.

How do I get one?

We will write to anyone who already gets direct payments about the new bank card and account.

You will get the card from Prepaid Financial Services. They are experienced pre-paid card providers for direct payment customers. They work with over 30 other councils across the country to deliver this service.

Please see the FAQs if you have any queries.
