There are a variety of support networks for different leadership roles, such as the Registered Managers Network, the Deputy Managers Network and the Nominated Individuals Network.

These networks will enable you to discuss challenges and share ideas with people in similar roles to yourself.

The Skills for Care advice line is another route if you wanted to explore the support that they provide.

 

Leadership Development

Your own professional development is important and there is a variety of leadership courses, to support you with refining your management skills.

There are several training providers who are endorsed by Skills for Care who run training courses that can support those in a leadership role.

 

Future Leaders

Individuals with management potential should be identified and supported to develop their own leadership skills.
