The plan outlines what the county council, and partner organisations in the Children's Trust, will do to improve the lives of Staffordshire's children. The plan is updated every year and sent to government.
Young people were involved in assessing the process against last year's plan and came to Cabinet to talk about their work, and how best to share the contents of the plan with young people.
Areas highlighted in this year's plan included:
Tackling obesity among primary school children
Encouraging young people's participation in high-quality PE and sport
Reducing road traffic accidents involving children and young people
Increasing the numbers of children achieving expected levels of attainment from early years stage to Key Stage 4
Improving consultation and engagement with children and young people
County Councillor Peter Beresford is cabinet lead for children and young people and Chair of the Children's Trust.
