Thanks to everyone who took the time and effort to fill in the questionnaire featured in the summer edition of Your Staffordshire.
We had an overwhelming response with some really constructive comments on what you think of the magazine.
A huge majority of the responses we received were extremely positive with some great suggestions on what you would like to see featured in future editions of Your Staffordshire. From the feedback received here are some of the things you want to see in the magazine:
- More competitions/a prize crossword
- More what's on information - including local walks, historical sites and places to visit
- A useful contacts page
- More localised coverage with articles specific to certain areas
- Ensuring articles are aimed at wide range of people including young people and the over 50's
- What help is available for people with disabilities.
We're currently looking at all these suggestions and will make sure we're incorporating more of your ideas when we re-launch the magazine with a brand new look next year.
We're also analysing the information you gave us to see how we can keep you better informed about what the county council does and the services it delivers. We'll give you a more detailed breakdown on the feedback in the next edition.
There was some concern among the minority of readers who wanted to know how much the magazine cost to produce, understandably at a time when belts are being tightened across the economy.
The magazine costs equate to around 8p per person in Staffordshire, which we believe is money extremely well spent, given that this is the county council's key vehicle to communicate directly with the people of Staffordshire.
If you have a comment to make on Your Staffordshire or have any suggestions on what we should include please email YourStaffordshire@staffordshire.gov.uk
The winner of the £25 Marks and Spencer vouchers was Mrs. V. Foster, from Cannock.
