What is the Strategic Plan?

The Strategic Plan sets out what the council's priorities are for the next three years.  It explains how the county council intends to achieve these priorities, using its financial resources.

Why do we need a Strategic Plan?

It is important for any organisation to plan for the future.  As a council we need to look at what service pressures there might be, and how we can deliver the best possible services using our limited resources.

The council's vision is to make a Staffordshire a: "great place to live, work, visit and invest".

In striving to achieve this vision increasing the rate of improvement across service delivery and driving forward performance management will be a key focus for the council. 

The real measure of our successes will be how we impact upon the lives of our communities.  We will monitor our performance in achieving our priorities and aims and report on this through the Annual Performance Report.
