Why do we need a Strategic Plan?
It is important for any organisation - private, public or voluntary - to plan for the future. As a county council, we need to look at what outside pressures there may be, and how we can deliver the best possible services using our limited resources. We must make sure that our plans for the future include services which are appropriate and timely, and which provide good value for money for our communities.
We have spoken and listened to you to establish what your priorities are. These discussions have helped to shape our priorities for the future and to make sure that what we are aspiring to deliver is consistent with what our communities need.
