How can I apply?

All you need to do is download an application form and send it to your local county councillor.  You can download an application form either in word format or pdf format.

The application process is very easy,  but please spend just a minute reading the information below.

Points to be aware of:

Before completing an application please contact your local county councillor to discuss your proposed project.  If you don't know who your local county councillor is then visit our LocalView webpage||||| and enter in your postcode.  You will then be asked to select your address.  The division you live in will show on the results tab.  Click on the division and this will show your local county councillor's web page.

Applications for funding for proposals must be made to your local county councillor, who will choose which applications to put forward to the county council for consideration, following appropriate consultation.

  • Your county councillor may decide to recommend spending all of their Community Fund allocation in any one year on one project, or choose to support a number of proposals.
  • Your county councillor may decide to recommend spending all or any proportion of their Community Fund allocation at any time before the final deadline. You, therefore, may want to enquire before you make any application about whether or not your local county councillor has allocated the money.

Important: Where an application is for funding which is less that the total cost, the county council will be unable to pay a grant unless the balance of the funding has been raised or secured.  If your county councillor wishes to recommend funding which is less than you have asked for, he/she will want to know from you how you will raise or secure any shortfall between what he/she is prepared to recommend and the amount requested.

Two or more county councillors may agree on a joint proposal for all or part of their Community Fund allocations, for a scheme (or schemes) which will jointly benefit their electoral Divisions.
