Healthier Communities and Older People
Identifying measures which will help to improve the health of the people of Staffordshire is a common theme throughout the council's public services.
As a 'one-stop-shop' for key information we are here to help our policy makers and the council's partners to make informed decisions about tackling health inequalities.
The key issues are:
- Health Inequalities
- Sexual Health
- Mental Health
- Obesity
- Smoking
- Alcohol and Drugs
Older people form a valuable and substantial part of our population. The government defines 'older people' as anyone over fifty years old. Within this definition more than one in three of us is an 'old person'.
It is important for us to understand who the older people of Staffordshire are so that we can provide for them the best services possible.
