Economic Development and Enterprise

We play a pivotal role in supporting the County Council's economic development service.  A recent audit commission study of our economic regeneration services found that the service was supported by  "a strong research facility".

A wide variety of data is held and analysed about local issues, enterprise levels, funding eligibility, employment development, tourism, inward investment and County Council regeneration estates.  We also provide a specialist service in relation to European statistics which have been used by national and regional partners as well as in the County's own cases and advocacy.
