Questions and Answers: Your payment questions answered
What can I pay online?
You can pay any council bill or invoice online. Just use the reference number on the bill. We will be adding individual services as they become available electronically.
Is it safe?
Yes it is safe. Visit "Are Online Payments safe?" section for more information about how we make sure your payments are secure.
Can I pay more than one bill?
Yes, you can pay as many bills as you want on the internet service. On the Automated Telephone Service, if you wish to pay more than one item, for example 2 separate Invoices/Bills please follow these steps: Complete the payment process for the first payment and then start again from the beginning for any further payments. This means you will put in your payments details for each payment you make. We hope to improve the system in the future to make it easier to pay multiple bills.
How else can I pay?
You can pay in all the usual ways. Go to "How to pay" to find out the other ways you can pay.
Which debit and credit cards can I use?

Can I have a receipt?
Yes if you enter an email address on the payment details page we will send you a receipt. A receipt for a postal payment can be sent to you on request.

Cards are not refused by Staffordshire County Council they are refused by your bank. There are many reasons why this may happen. Please contact your bank directly and they will be able to tell you why you couldn't use your Card.
Why is Staffordshire County Council offering online payments?
