Leader of the council

Cllr John Taylor became Leader of Staffordshire County Council in May 2007.  John strategically leads the whole organisation in making Staffordshire a better place to live, and making sure that the council gives you more for less.

The Leader appoints and leads other county councillors as Cabinet members.

The six cabinet members for Staffordshire are:

John Taylor - Leader of the Council
Robert Simpson - Deputy Leader of the Council
Peter Beresford - Children and Young People 
Eddie Boden - Organisation and Performance
Carol Dean - Safer and Stronger Communities
John Wakefield - Economic Prosperity and Sustainable Communities   
Susan Woodward - Healthier Communities and Older People
