Members' allowances regulations
The county council must by law publicise its scheme for the payment of allowances to county councillors. Additionally, it must publicise, annually, the total amounts paid to each councillor.
The scheme forms part of the county council's constitution.
Additionally,
details of the allowances paid during 2007/2008 are also available. Alternatively, copies are available for inspection at each main library, and at Corporate Reception, Peel Building, Stafford, during normal office hours.
Every year the allowances paid to councillors are reviewed by an Independent Remuneration Panel. The latest report from the panel is below. The county council have the final decision in whether or not to accept the recommendations of the panel.
