Economic Development and Enterprise
The Economic Development and Enterprise service has recently been rated 'Good with promising prospects for improvement' by the Audit Commission for its clear vision, service and purpose.

The service works in partnership with the private sector and other organisations to promote economic growth and prosperity. Find out more.

Our vision is that Staffordshire will be known for having an economy which has the skills, technology, knowledge and innovation to improve the quality if life of its residents.
We envisage spending £2.7m over three years to deliver the economic development and enterprise aim.
From 2008 to 2011, we will:
- Increase the percentage of new enterprise centres.
- Improve how we manage existing enterprise centres.
- Develop major employment sites.
- Attract inward investment to Staffordshire.
- Increase the percentage of visitors using Shugborough.
- Provide ' business friendly' services to Staffordshire businesses.
- Maintain the highways network and reduce congestion for business.
- Improve the environmental performance of Staffordshire's businesses.
