Vote4funds ... for your community

The LMIS application process for some areas in Stafford and Staffordshire Moorlands has been slightly different this year.

Staffordshire County Council is one of just a handful of councils across the UK that is putting the community in the driving seat of spending local budgets

This year in your area, the community will have a direct affect on the services where they live by voting for which projects get a slice your county councillor's Local Member Initiative Scheme (LMIS) allocation.

Since its launch in 2001, Staffordshire County Council's 62 county councillors have supported over 3,300 community projects with over £4 million from the LMIS.

The closing date for applications in Stafford Central, Stafford North, Stafford South East, Stafford West, Biddulph North, Biddulph South and Endon and Caverwall was 22 August.

So it's now down to you to help to empower your community with your county councillor by voting for the five projects that you think would most benefit your area!

You can click on the link to each member to have a sneak preview of the projects before voting begins on 1st October and closes at noon on 31 October.

There are a number of ways you can vote for your favourite projects:-

Voting Forms which give details of the projects and ask for people to choose their  top five projects   During the voting period there will be ballot boxes left in key locations in your community. All voting forms will have a pre-paid envelope included.  All applicants will be given 50 voting forms and there will be voting forms left by all the ballot boxes.

A full list of ballot box locations will be available from 29 September.

On-line voting  you will be able to enter in your postcode and this will take you to your relevant county councillor's voting page.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to have their say and personally make a difference to their area.

By SMS text voting.  Messages will be charged at your normal text rate.

E-mail voting - e-mail your vote to vote4funds@staffordshire.gov.uk - remember to include your full name, address and post code for your vote to count.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to have a direct impact on improving the area where you live!
