As your local county councillor I have been allocated £10,000 to spend on community projects in Caverswall, Forsbrook, Werrington and Dilhorne.
This year I'm taking part in an exciting new pilot scheme which will give everyone the opportunity to influence the future of where they live, help to generate community pride and pull our community together.
It is now down to all applicants to drum up support for their project. Publicity guidance can be downloaded by clicking on the document image on the right hand side of the page.
I have been asked to support the following projects:-

CA1 |
Blythe Bridge Pre-School Group needs cash for new play equipment to replace out-dated equipment. They want to buy a climbing frame and mats and a kitchen range/home corner. |

CA2 |
Werrington Tigers Football Club are looking for cash to buy equipment and tracksuits for their members. The club is for children aged between 6 and 8 years who train every week and play a game on Sunday in the 'Lads and Dads Leek Branch'. |

CA3 |
Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook Support Group are a voluntary group set up for youngsters in the area. The group have arranged activities and are asking for cash to buy trophies and certificates, covering the hire costs of the village hall and DJ equipment and beauty nights. |

CA4 |
Caverswall Cricket Club want cash to start winter coaching sessions. The coaching would take place at Sandon High School and be run by volunteers from the club. |
|
CA5 |
St. Philip's Church in Werrington wants cash to replace the fencing around the church field. The field will be used by local groups including Mothers and Toddlers, Children's Groups and the Police Space Scheme. |

CA6 |
Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook Village Hall needs cash for improvements to the Hall including a new carpet in the committee room, a stripped and re-varnished main hall floor, replacement lights in the main hall and an emergency light in the outside porch. |

CA7 |
Dilhorne Recreation and Community Centre needs cash to provide disabled access into the centre. The improvements will include levelling and repaving the pathway around the centre and providing new steps to the rear of the building. |

CA8 |
The Butchers Arms Football Team, Blythe Bridge Veterans Football Team and Blythe Bridge Junior Football Team are looking for cash towards the purchase of a metal shed to store football equipment. |

CA9 |
Bank House Day Centre is run by a charitable trust for elderly people who Social Services nominate to attend. The bathing service they offer is much appreciated but the specialised bath needs replacing. They also need cash to replace the washer and dryer. |

Dilhorne Parish Council wants cash for a 'Dopler Gun' for their Speedwatch Scheme. Community Speedwatch enables local people to get actively involved in road safety and also prompts drivers and motorcyclists to watch their speed and keep to the limit. |

CA11 |
105th Stoke-on-Trent Scouts and 15th Stoke-on-Trent Guides Management Committee wants cash to upgrade their kitchen to comply with health and safety requirements. |

CA12 |
Werrington Methodist Church wants cash to replace their old worn out boiler. The current boiler is likely to breakdown at any time and is so old that replacement parts are no longer available. |
The voting period started on 1 October and will finish at noon on 31 October. Results will be announced in the local press and be published on this website by the end of November.
