Applying for an LMIS grant for a project in Stafford

Help to empower your community with your county councillor!

The LMIS application process for some of the areas in Stafford is slightly different this year.

If your project is in:

Baswich, Hillcroft Park, Queensville, Rickerscote, Silkmore, Wildwood

then contact Jack Barber.  You can download an application form and found out more about the scheme by visiting Jack's Local Member Initiative Scheme webpage link.

If your project is in:

Castle (part), Coton, Forebridge, Littleworth

then contact Maureen Compton.  You can download an application form and found out more about the scheme by visiting Maureen's Local Member Initiative Scheme webpage link.

If your project is in:

Highfields, Manor, Rowley,Western Downs

then contact Mike Poulter.  You can download an application form and found out more about the scheme by visiting Mike's Local Member Initiative Scheme webpage link.

If your project is in:

Common, Holmcroft, Tillington

then contact Robert Simpson.  You can download an application form and found out more about the scheme by visiting Robert's Local Member Initiative Scheme webpage link.

You'll be asked to part part in an exciting community consultation event.  This year, the community in these areas will be asked to vote on the projects and initiatives that they want to receive a slice of their local county councillor's LMIS grant.

If you apply for money for a project in these areas you will be asked to take part in a very informal consultation event in October, and if you're successful, you'll receive your grant for Christmas 2008.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to have their say and personally make a difference to their area.

This is also a fantastic opportunity to gain public support and loads of publicity for your project or initiative.  You could not have a better start!

N.B. Please note that there are slightly different terms and conditions for the LMIS scheme in the above areas when compared to the LMIS in the rest of Staffordshire.  You can download an application form from your County Councillors page, just select their name from the list on the left hand side.

So apply now and cash in for your community - the deadline is Friday 22nd August.
