Human Resources

With a workforce of more than 30,000, Human Resources provides a vital service to support every employee.  This can range from advice on what maternity or paternity leave you are entitled to, to what to do if you are encountering a problem at work.

Human Resources is made up of a number of teams across the Council, all carrying out a specific role. A Corporate Human Resources, based in the Chief Executive's Office, provides support to the directorate HR teams.  Specific teams provide advice and support on employee relation issues, learning and development, equality and diversity, recruitment as well as pay and benefits.
