Local Economic Assessment

Staffordshire County Council has recently been preparing a consultation draft of the Staffordshire Local Economic Assessment (LEA).

Following on from our issues paper consultation during spring 2010, we have recently completed a consultation on the draft Staffordshire Local Economic Assessment which considers the local economy in terms of businesses, people and places. Understanding the local economy is vitally important for local partners and businesses as they form local enterprise partnerships, and seek a robust evidence base to inform a range of local policy and strategy directions.

A report considering comments received during the consultation process will appear on this website in the near future, and the final version of the LEA is intended to be completed by the end of March 2011.
