Monitoring Scrutiny Recommendations and Outcomes

At Staffordshire County Council Scrutiny involvement in the decision making process does not stop at the recommendations of a Scrutiny and Performance Panel or Committee being agreed by Cabinet/Council.

Our Scrutiny and Performance Panels and Committees continue to monitor the outcomes of Scrutiny reviews whether the recommendations proposed have been agreed to or not by the relevant decision making body.

Scrutiny and Performance Panels and Committees receive an Executive/Directorate response to all recommendations submitted and will receive action plans from the relevant Directorate, progress reports and updates from Cabinet Members and Officers with regard to how Scrutiny recommendations were taken forward or used to inform the decision made by Cabinet, Council or the Directorate.

The outcomes of Scrutiny reviews are detailed in our Scrutiny Annual Reports and recommendations made outlined in individual Final Reports in the Scrutiny Reports Library.
