Staffordshire is already a success story and a centre of business excellence across many sectors.
Now Staffordshire County Council is determined to build on that; economic growth and enterprise is our number one priority. We will work hard to enable as many people as possible to work and prosper in Staffordshire.
Staffordshire County Council will help to create the conditions in which businesses can thrive and will encourage new investors into the area.
I will personally encourage our members to put business first where possible.
Planning applications will be dealt with as quickly as possible, cutting red tape.
We will support the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership - one of the first in the country to be up and running.
We will vigorously sell Staffordshire as a destination, stressing the all round appeal of the area."
