Statement of Accounts

- The Statement of Accounts presents the overall financial position of the Authority for the year ended 31st March 2008. The Accounts are produced in the format stipulated by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) in accordance with best accounting practice.

- Although the accounts have to be produced in accordance with a range of regulations and reporting standards it is important that they are understandable to the general reader. We are always looking to improve the content and format of the statement of accounts. We would welcome your comments on how the accounts and explanatory information could be improved in future.
