Good causes shouldn't miss out on pilot project cash
Time is quickly running out for people and community groups to apply for a slice of a £40,000 grant which will benefit good causes in Stafford. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on their chance.
Local County Councillors Robert Simpson, Jack Barber, Maureen Compton and Mike Poulter have each been allocated £10,000 from Staffordshire County Council's Local Member Initiative Scheme (LMIS) to support community projects and initiatives in their areas.
Whether you're an Organisation or a Community Group you have the opportunity to apply for funding between £100 and £1500 from your councillor. However, time is running out as the deadline of Friday August 22 is fast approaching.
You can really make a difference as a new scheme is being trialled for the first time in Stafford, which means members of the public will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on life in their area by voting for the projects they think should receive the funding.
To make sure you don't miss out on this opportunity, complete and submit an application form before the deadline. More information and application forms are available either by visiting the 'My county councillor' area of the county council's website at, www.staffordshire.gov.uk, or by calling in at Stafford's Shire Hall Library or the county council receptions at County Buildings and St. Chad's Place.
