Congratulations to Cannock community success stories

Our first stop was to Cannock Children's Centre to congratulate staff on the success of their pioneering scheme to engage with local families. 

Centre staff have recently hit the streets with Community and Learning Partnership officers to raise awareness of the range of services in the area to support families.  The unprecedented success of their advice, support and storytelling sessions has sent a clear message to the community that a wide range of services across Cannock does exist to give them a helping hand.

We are very aware of the critical roles that parents play in their child's learning and development and we want to give them every available advantage. Reaching out to parents in their patch does exactly that.

Cannock Chase Children's Centre was one of the first centres in the country to receive an 'outstanding' judgement from the Dfes, and once again it's leading the way in pioneering family support.

We then went on to visit the West Chadsmoor Family Centre, which is doing sterling work in supporting parents in care and education.
