Becoming a county councillor is a rewarding form of public service that puts people in a privileged position where they can make a difference to the quality of other people's daily lives.

As a county councillor you will have to balance the needs and interests of your residents, voters, political parties and the council.

We are holding a Candidate Open Day on Tuesday 12 May

Come along between 1pm and 7pm for the opportunity to:

Informally meet a range of Council staff
Chat about the support that will be available for you if you are elected
Try out the ICT equipment that would be available to support you if you are elected
Chat to a Deputy Corporate Director about Council strategy (1pm)
Find out about a range of council services
Look around County Buildings
