Safe driving

All drivers need to take extra care in harsh icy and snowy conditions. Before setting out always ask yourself "is my journey really necessary?" If it isn't, then don't go.

If you must travel be prepared.  Even if you start a journey in reasonable weather, conditions can quickly deteriorate. Make sure someone knows where you are going and give them an estimated time for your arrival.

Refresh your memory and re-read the sections of the Highway Code|| (226 to 237||) which cover driving in adverse weather conditions.
