Diesel Spills

Staffordshire's Road Safety & Sustainable Travel Unit will  be launching a campaign later in the year to address the issue of diesel spillages.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the problem and the potential consequences and dangers to all road users. We want to encourage the reporting of diesel spillages so that remedial action can be taken as soon as possible. A promotional and educational drive will be aimed at haulage companies, drivers, farmers, bus companies and petrol filling stations, about the problems caused by overfilling, poorly fitted petrol caps and poorly maintained vehicles.

To report Diesel Spills in Staffordshire contact  the Highways Hotline  on 0300 111 8020 (calls will be charged at a local rate),  for Minicom 01785 854034
