Renewing a permit
You will normally be issued with a permit for 5 years, however, further medical clearance, depending on your age, may be required during this period.
Approximately six weeks prior to your permit expiring, the Road Safety & Sustainable Travel Unit will forward, to your last known home address, a renewal notice and application form. It is therefore vital that you advise the any address or name changes.
