l	Many companies are now developing travel plans either as part of a planning condition or as part of the company commitment to social or environmental responsibiltiy. We can help you through the process of producing a travel plan. Our support is free to companies within Staffordshire

 A Travel Plan is a package of measures to assist in managing the transport needs of an organisation. A successful travel plan will offer employees a choice of travel modes to and from the site and encourage more sustainable transport options such as car sharing, walking, cycling and public transport. Travel plans can also include actions to reduce the need for travel such as conference calls and working from home.

The main objective of a traval plan is to provide incentives  to reduce the need to travel alone, and they can also:

Reduce your cost of travelling. Save on petrol money and car parking charges

Save wear and tear on cars (which means a higher resale value)

Improve staff wellbeing through healthier forms of travel

Help with staff recruitment and retention by offering a wider choice of travel

Reduce congestion and pollution

Reduce stress levels from driving and encourage a healthier lifestyle

Reduce fuel emissions from quicker journey times

Reduce cars on the road, improving air quality

How can we help? We can set up a staff travel survey to find out the current modes of transport you staff are using. Using this data we can plan how to make changes away from drive alone journeys to more sustainable modes of transport.

We can offer:

Cyclist training and individual travel planning to give people one to one advice on their journey to work, door to door Advice and support on how to promote alternatives to the car. We can talk to staff during lunch times and breaks, organise events, provide article for use in newsletters and give ongoing support.
