Last year, more than 900 children, young people, parents, carers and professionals shared their thoughts, views, and experiences about Staffordshire's SEND support and services.
All of the feedback has shaped a new SEND and Alternative Provision Strategy for Staffordshire - setting out how the council and integrated care board (NHS) will work together to improve.
The strategy is the plan of how we will work together to improve how children and families are listened to, supported, and informed.
We know the strategy isn’t going to fix everything straight away - this is just the start – we’ll keep you updated on progress.
There are three priorities in the strategy, chosen by local children and families as the most important things to improve first:
• Priority 1 - Provide timely and consistent support.
• Priority 2 - Listen, understand and support families.
• Priority 3 - Nurture inclusive environments and best practice.
Please watch the video, or read the strategy, to find out more.
