Staffordshire has a network of beautiful Country Parks and greenways where people can enjoy the unrivalled and diverse beauty of the Staffordshire countryside on their doorstep.
From Apedale Country Park near Newcastle Under Lyme, to Deep Hayes and Consall in the Moorlands, through stunning wildlife rich Cannock Chase down to Highgate Common and Kinver edge in the south.
Wherever you live in Staffordshire there are beautiful countryside places and wonderful walking routes near you.
Staffordshire's countryside team work all year round to provide a network of thousands of miles of footpaths across the county - and there's no better time to explore them than at Christmas.
County Council Leader John Taylor said Staffordshire was the perfect place to enjoy a countryside Christmas.
"Staffordshire really is an amazing place to live and all too often we just don't get the time to enjoy the stunning beauty that is on our doorstep.
"Christmas is the perfect time to get out with your family and enjoy a good traditional Staffordshire ramble. And in this time of financial pressure the countryside provides a perfect opportunity to de-stress and get back in touch with the simpler pleasures of life.
"Our Countryside team are there for you this Christmas," he said.
