Shugborough marries extra value to glamour
Staffordshire's most glamorous wedding venue is offering a half price package on all winter weddings in the Mansion House.
Anyone who wishes to tie the knot from November to the beginning of March will receive a 50 per cent discount for choosing the stunning setting for their marriage ceremony.
Couples wishing to get married at the stately home tourist attraction, managed by Staffordshire County Council, can make their vows in the Grand Saloon overlooking the formal terraced gardens and the river.
The estate - which was much-photographed by the late Patrick Lichfield -makes an awe-inspiring location when it comes to wedding photographs. It also boasts one of the most romantic carriage drives in the country, as wedding cars sweep through woodland and manicured parkland down to the fine Mansion House.
Group Manager Liz Carruthers said: "More and more people are choosing the winter months - particularly the festive season - to get married. Shugborough really comes into it's own at this time of year as we are closed to the general public, making the venue a little more exclusive. The autumn, winter and early spring foliage in the grounds is also breath-taking on crisp, clear winter days and starlit evenings."
The reduced winter rate means couples can now book their ceremony in the Shugborough mansion for £900. Alternatively, people can wed in the intimate and fairytale Tower of the Winds throughout the year for just £250.
Staff at the estate are now advising people to book their Shugborough winter weddings early as more and more dates are being reserved as people take advantage of the offer.
