Cycling advice was available at the Eco-Power Point

Powerpoint provides a host of eco-info

An eco-roadshow for people who want to save energy and the planet pitched-up in Stafford.

The Eco-Power Point set up for business in Stafford's Market Square.

With Climate Change and environmental issues now firmly in the headlines people want to know what they can do to help. The Eco Marquee provided much of the info and energy they need.

The Sustainable Staffordshire team involved a host of experts on practical home based environmental solutions.

Advice was given on:

Home energy efficiency; renewable energy options; transport solutions; environmentally aware DIY; gardening for the environment and community action.

There was also a chance to learn from Staffordshire's very own eco experts -Travelwise, Bike to basics and Schott UK.

Sustainable Staffordshire Chair Paul Newman said: "Sometimes the rising tide of information about climate change and environmental crisis can just appear too much for people to cope with - the problems just seem too big. People feel powerless.

"The Eco-Power Point is a place where people can plug into a positive surge in creative solutions and ideas that they can use in their everyday lives. We can all make a difference and help put Staffordshire on a path to a sustainable future."
