Museum on the Move
'Staying In - Going Out: Entertainment in Staffordshire and the Black Country'
'Museum on the Move' is an interactive, multi sensory mobile museum exhibition. It is fully wheelchair accessible and comes with our friendly and experienced interpreters.
This year's exhibition, 'Staying in, Going Out' is an exciting exhibition looking at how people have spent their leisure time over the past 200 years. From day trips to the seaside and music hall, to cinemas, football and television, there is something for everyone, with lots to see, touch and do.
For school visits, children can engage in cross-curricular activities, using a range of learning styles and developing practical and independent thinking skills. The Museums Keep moving partnership has been awarded the Sandford Award for Heritage Education, 2010.
Winner, Renaissance West Midlands 'Best of the West' Best Education Project 2011, for work with Young Offenders in partnership with Staffordshire's Prison Library Service.
