Making Moves 2006-08
Making Moves is a two year programme in Staffordshire comprising of six craft residencies leading to a one year touring exhibition.
The ethos of the programme is to bring craft to local audiences through making and exhibiting at places of local interest. A particular feature of the programme has been the support given to graduates through a partnership with Staffordshire University.

Making Moves has been generated by a six year partnership between Craftspace, Staffordshire's Heritage & Arts Service and participating Local Authorities and supported by Arts Council England.
It is the last of three programmes which began with Handmade (1998) followed by Handmade 2 (2001) (See Project Archive||).
The Making Moves exhibition showcases the six residencies and the work of four supporting graduates.
'Making Moves provided me with new inspiration and I feel that this has helped my work to progress and develop. I have been involved with a few exhibitions since Making Moves and am hoping to continue showing my work. One aspect that particularly inspired me was the community workshops. I am now embarking on a creative apprenticeship with ALISS, an organisation that teaches artists how to work in the community.'
