Dance Connected
Dance Development Group
The Dance Development Group (DDG) is a partnership group convened from arts, sports, health and the dance community across the county.
The DDG aims to develop its resource base initially through fundraising. The Dance Development Officer will lead on the strategic delivery of the following:

Providing information, signposting and newsletters

Support for local dance partnerships

Collation of records of delivery and impact - Annual Report

Support for Youth Dance
-
Marketing and advocacy
-
Fundraising
-
Co-ordinating cross county work - "community development"
The partnership has been awarded additional funding from ACEWM (Grants for Arts) to support the Dance Development Officer post for three for three years and to set up the Dance Connected| programme.

Get Dancing
Get Dancing was part of Dancing for the Games, inspired by London 2012 and part of the Cultural Olympiad in the West Midlands.
It was funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to help build a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as Arts Council England and Advantage West Midlands.

Call for Dance Artists & Practitioners - Mapping Dance
We are currently developing a database for dance artists and practitioners which will be used to do a mapping of dance activity across the sub-region. This will help to develop a county wide picture of dance as well as provide a central point of information for anyone involved in delivering dance activity or developing dance projects.
