Did you know that a teacher led visit to the Shire Hall Gallery is free?
If you would like to bring your class to the Shire Hall Gallery to study the nineteenth century courtroom or to enjoy one of the art exhibitions there is no charge. We do ask that you please contact the gallery to ensure we do not already have another school visiting on the same day in order to allow you to enjoy the Gallery in full. A lunch room is also available for use if booked in advance.
For further information contact Jackie Bradbury, Assistant Audience Development Officer on 01785 278170, or email jackie.bradbury@staffordshire.gov.uk

Are you racking your brains for somewhere to go? Are you wondering what History, English, Maths, Citizenship and Art have in common? SMART, Staffordshire's new online resource for teachers has the answers!
This easy to use site has been designed for teachers who are seeking to link classroom activities with a Staffordshire museum. You can find out where to go for a visit, what activities are available, the facilities the museum offers and the details of how to book. |
With over 40 museums in the county Staffordshire has a rich heritage and SMART helps teachers to make the most of the facilities right on their doorstep. SMART will help make the vital links between a museum visit and the National Curriculum.
The site has been developed by Staffordshire Arts and Museum Service with support from MLA West Midlands.
