Applications are now being invited from individuals, artists, arts organisations, theatres, clubs and communities across Staffordshire for a share of this year’s Arts Grants Scheme which is run by Staffordshire County Council’s Heritage & Arts Service.
The fund (maximum amount you can apply for is £600) is open to any artist, arts group or community group planning an arts project or event in Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent).
The scheme funds arts related activities and events which benefit the community and helps to make arts accessible to everyone.
It gives people the opportunity to develop and increase skills and raise their profiles.
Priority will be given to projects which have a particular focus on drama, literature, visual arts & crafts, combined arts, music, concerts or festivals, film and new media, dance, the Cultural Olympiad and arts in healthcare settings.
More than 40 applicants applied last year with 30 plus being successful and many of those had never applied for funding from this grant scheme before.
Applications for the Arts Grant Scheme will be accepted throughout the financial year with planned events scheduled to take place before 31 March 2012.
Application forms are available to download from our Grants| page.
Anyone wishing to apply is encouraged to book an informal meeting to discuss their project prior to submitting an application with Helen Wilson, External Funding and Relations Officer for Staffordshire Arts and Museum Service on 01785 276116 or via email: helen.wilson@staffordshire.gov.uk|.
