Researching local history online
Your Library| has a huge range of local history material, but there are some fantastic resources online too.
Staffordshire Past Track is a fantastic online archive of images, documents, audio and video content relating to the heritage, community, history and culture of Staffordshire.
www.staffshistory.org.uk| is a local website devoted to Staffordshire's History. It is maintained by the Community Council of Staffordshire and is also the home website of the Staffordshire History Association.
Details of all known newspaper titles in the West Midlands are available online at www.newsplan.co.uk|.
Covering some 1100 West Midlands newspaper titles dating back to the eighteenth century, you can search by title, place and/or date of publication.
In addition to the local and family history resources available at Your Library, you should also take a look at what is available from Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Archive Service| and the William Salt Library| in Stafford.
