Compatible Devices

Titles are usually downloaded onto your own PC, laptop or MAC before being transferred to your e-reader. Library PCs cannot be used for this process, as you will need a personal form of Digital Rights Management, commonly Adobe Digital Editions. Some apps (listed below) allow you to download directly to Apple or Android devices.

  • Visit the Adobe web site  for the current list of devices compatible with Adobe Digital Editions.  
  • A Popular eBook app for Apple iTouch, iPhone or iPad is Bluefire Reader
  • For Android users we recommend using Aldiko.

You will not be able to download onto a Kindle; this is a restriction placed on the devices by Amazon.
