By joining Your Library you will have access to over 1 million books, 46,000 CDs and 17,000 DVDs as well as free internet access and a host of other fantastic services .

Who can join?

Anyone who lives, works, studies in or is visiting Staffordshire can join a Staffordshire Library and you can never be too young or too old.

If you're under 16, you can come and join the library and your parents will be sent a letter to check that they're happy.

We offer special membership for carers, children in residential and foster care and childminders, as well as membership for groups and organisations such as playgroups, reading groups and music and drama groups.

What information do I need to join?

  • You'll need your name, address and postcode.
  • We don't need to see proof of your identity.
  • If you are applying for group membership we may ask for some additional information.

Your library card

Staffordshire Library CardOnce you have joined, you will be the proud owner of a Staffordshire library card.

  • You can use your library card to access the fantastic range of services at any library in Staffordshire, including on board our mobile libraries.
  • Keep your library card safe, as you are responsible for anything that you borrow with it.
  • Please let us know if you change any of your personal details and  tell us straight away if your card is lost or stolen so that we can stop anyone else using it.
