Dalek Invasion at Cannock Library

To celebrate 45 years of the Daleks, Cannock Library is hosting a free family fun day on Saturday 4 July.

Between 9am - 3.30pm The 'Day of the Daleks' will offer an array of events, including craft activities for all ages, including colouring, junk modelling and Cyberman mask making.

The family quiz is sure to get everyone involved, as well as interactive storytelling, a Doctor Who themed quest around the library, remote control Dalek racing, related books and DVDs for loan and a guide to official Doctor Who websites.

There will also be a memorabilia exhibition relating to the popular long running TV series and a visit from a surprise mystery guest.

Everyone is invited to come dressed as their favourite Doctor Who character, including the library staff.

Entry forms for competitions and voting slips for an ultimate villain poll are now available in the library.

Mr Patrick Corfield, County Councillor for the area said: "With the resounding popularity of Doctor Who, this looks like a fabulous day for all the family.  It's an excellent opportunity for those who wouldn't normally come into the library to see just what they have to offer".

For more information, please contact Cannock Library on (01543) 510365.
