Staffordshire County Council is offering readers over the age of 16 the opportunity to win a tour of the JCB factory with this year’s Winter Reading Challenge.
The new initiative will be launched across the county’s libraries on Saturday 3 December.
Readers will be challenged to read five books of their choice, where they will be given a passport style booklet in which to record their titles and rate their enjoyment of each book.
All completed ‘passports’ will be entered into the draw to win this year’s amazing prize of a tour around the world famous JCB headquarters in Rocester.
The closing date for the Winter Reading Challenge is Saturday 11 February, 2012 with the lucky winner being announced on World Book Day on Thursday 1 March.
The Winter Reading Challenge is a great opportunity for Staffordshire residents to share their enthusiasm for books and have the chance to win a wonderful prize.
Just like last year, 9 titles have been chosen by library staff as ‘recommended reads’ and although participants are free to choose their own books, this encourages readers to broaden their reading experiences and explore books beyond their preferred genre
