Summer Reading Challenge in Moorlands Libraries

Local Libraries within the Moorlands will be hosting 'The Summer Reading Challenge' throughout July and August this year.

Libraries taking part include Werrington, Leek, Biddulph, Blythe Bridge and Cheadle.

Throughout the events there will be a free themed activity suitable for ages 5-11 years and sessions will include craft activities, games, competitions and puzzles.

There will also be a chance to win a free ticket to Alton Towers!

County Councillor and Cabinet Support Member for Culture and Heritage, Maureen Compton said "The Summer Reading Challenge looks to encourage children aged 4-12 years to continue the reading habit during the six weeks summer holidays. This year, across Staffordshire, we are aiming to get even more young people to take part in a sport themed challenge - 'Team Read'.

Remember you have to be in it to win it!  So come along and join the Team Read to get an amazing 'moving image' membership card, fold-out poster and stickers, plus free vouchers to local attractions!

Places are limited so booking is essential.

For further information please contact your participating library.
