New mobile library stop for Barlaston Park

Residents of Barlaston Park are set to benefit from a new mobile library service.

In an extension to the Travelling Library Service that currently visits Barlaston Village, from Monday 4th August, a 30ft mobile library will be parked on Ivy House Drive on alternate Mondays, 2pm to 2:30pm.

The library will offer its customers a wide selection of reading material including books for children and adults, large print books, talking books for all ages and DVDs.

Membership is free, it's easy to join and everyone is welcome.

County Councillor for Stone Rural, Ian Parry said: "The new mobile service will give people who live on the outskirts of the village an additional opportunity to access library services. It will be particularly welcomed by those members of the community who may have difficulty in getting to the village centre."

Every Tuesday and Friday            

Plume of Feathers                9.30am - 1.30pm

Village Hall                           2.00pm - 7.30pm
