Music & Arts Explorer

Through the Arts and Music we share the imagination of the past, other lives, other places...

Music is as real as the lives of the people who created it, and it's alive and new every time it's performed or listened to. Whenever we look at art or read novels or poetry we are sharing in the imagination of its creators.

Music & Arts Explorer pages help you explore different times and places. They are packed with information and links, music to listen to, books and films that go with the music. What was life really like in those days? How can we explore the Spirit of Place, landscapes, nature, in music?

CDs, DVDs and books are available from Staffordshire Libraries - and Staffordshire Libraries members can listen to the vast range of music on The Naxos Music Libraryexternal link. Ask at a Staffordshire library for a password.

We can produce Music & Arts Explorer pages to tie in with school curriculum, college courses, concerts, exhibitions or other events. You can even contribute your own pages. Send us your ideas.
