Changes to Opening Hours - Advance Notice
Staffordshire County Council provides support for the maintenance and running of the William Salt Library building and public service which is administered by a charitable trust. The County Council is committed to continue to provide valued frontline services within the available budget. Savings and improved efficiencies are therefore required in other areas. As part of this the Library has been required to find savings to reduce the overall running cost of the service which causes the least effect on maintaining quality and customer service. As a result there has been a review of opening hours which will mean closure on some days and reduction in the remaining hours taking account of times of public demand. It will also enable the Library to continue to catalogue its collections and provide a copying service, albeit at a reduced level.
The use of the William Salt Library has been closely monitored and its visitor figures have been analysed. Based on this information the new opening hours from 31 January 2012 will be:
Monday CLOSED
Tuesday 10.00am – 1.00pm; 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Wednesday 10.00am – 1.00pm; 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Thursday 10.00am – 1.00pm; 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Friday CLOSED
Saturday CLOSED
